Dr. Scott Shuler’s Bible Study
Ecclesiastes – Fall 2025
This 11 session Bible study by Dr. Scott Shuler on Book of Ecclesiastes explores the meaning of life, concluding that earthly pursuits, like wealth or pleasure, are ultimately “vanity,” fleeting and unsatisfying when pursued apart from God. The Preacher, traditionally identified as King Solomon, describes these pursuits as “chasing after the wind”. However, the book also encourages appreciating God’s gifts and enjoying simple pleasures in the present, while acknowledging that ultimately, fearing God and keeping His commandments is the “whole duty of man”.
